We got to VA safe and sound this morning, praise the Lord! My sister, Jordan, was a HUGE help in closing down our house on base and making the 10 hour drive overnight - Jack was a loud mess but Bennett slept the whole time. Then after 30 minutes here B passed out face-first on grandma’s lap :)

Bennett has loved this time with his Aunt Jordan! Today she is helping us drive up to Loudoun County for the next 4 months until Sam gets home. Virginia, we’ll see you in the morning!

Happy Mother’s Day, everyone! I praise the Lord for my wonderful mother, great family, amazing little boy, and an incredible husband who finds time to call me on MD while he’s pulling 12+ hr shifts in the desert - I am blessed!

Last Mother’s Day we shared the news with our family that Bennett was on his way with this video…

Congratulations, Hannah!

Congratulations, Hannah!

At an early Mother’s Day dinner out, Bennett reminds me of what he was like on the inside. I love this crazy kid.

I am honored to be the wife of an Airman and gladly hold down the fort while he’s up in the sky! Happy Military Appreciation Day to all my fellow AF wives!

Saw this on Pintrest and thought it was pretty cool - most of us don’t have the Monday night football crowd watching, but how great if we can take a stand for Jesus for even one person to see?

Our baby is growing up. Bennett, who now weighs an even 15lbs and is 24” long, was given the all-clear to start solid foods such as cereal or purees. I will be trying my hand at making babyfood once we get settled in up in Virginia. His neck is so strong that he is just days away from holding his head up free and clear, which actually has him liking tummy time a little more; he gets a little fussy when he wants to be sitting up looking around like a big boy. He is grabbing his toys and talking up a storm. He is getting lots of attention from his Aunt Jordan and we are looking forward to spending the summer with family while we count down the days until daddy gets home!

What a difference church makes

While it is heartbreaking to me to know how few church goers there are in the military, it really hits home to attend a chapel service at a deployed location. The service I went to today had 18. That’s about 6 more than the one I attended 2 weeks ago. Today I went to a Church of Christ service, which reminded me of a couple churches from my childhood - no instruments, but singing straight from hymnals with some of the best voices I’ve heard in months. However, given the what some might call primitive nature of how the service played out, it caused me to really focus on the message and thank the Lord that I was there at that moment with people who knew and loved Him. I can only pray that my schedule allows more days like this.

Oh my goodness Bennett O’Neal is 4 months old today! In some ways I feel like he’s only 4 days old, and in others it seems like he’s turning 4 years old. He is growing up so fast! These days he is getting better at holding his head up, he’s playing with his toys, and loves to smile and is starting to laugh. He is sleeping great at night and will start eating cereal soon. He has continued seeing a chiropractor to keep up with his reflux, and he goes to the pediatrician for a check up this week where we will see how much this chunk weighs. His eyes dont have much blue left! They are brown/green right now but still have another 2 months or so to go. His hair is turning blond and sticks up on top. He lights up when he hears Sam’s voice on Skype and likes to flirt with anyone he sees. We are looking forward to more milestones met and the joys of watching our little man discover the world around him with each passing month.
